Mentee Queenie Tang (BA), took the stage as a speaker at The Helena May to share her research and thoughts on the history of this unique establishment founded in 1916 in Hong Kong last Thursday, 9 September. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support and invitation from her mentor, Mrs Ruth Lau, a committee member at the Helen May.

“With Ruth’s inspiration, I came up with an idea – exploring the relationship between the Helena May and society. Thankfully, the Helena May endorsed my ideas and invited me to give a talk! The ongoing interactions with Ruth have been amazing!”
