“I benefitted quite a lot from the mentoring relationship with my mentor, Anita, because I found a home away from home. I found a mom in a foreign land. I know that if I face any sort of trouble, I can always seek her out and she’ll always be there for me. It has helped me gain the emotional stability I needed when I stepped out of my home and country for the first time on my own.
Anita is loving and caring. When I had dinner with her and her husband K O at her house, she had made all sorts of dishes for me and my buddy mentees. She is also very understanding as she is able to make an emotional connection with me based on my level of understanding. All in all, I am very happy with the mentor I have been assigned.”
