Valuable career advice

“Mr Richard Mak is a friendly and inspiring mentor, and he understands the current university system well. During our lunch meeting, we talked about how he chose his career path, which is especially beneficial to me since I am considering whether I should choose a business-related job or a legal one. He shared with me his personal experience in recognising his interest in business early on, and I have made use of the methods he taught me. Also, he taught me how to utilise my knowledge of both business and law, which is something I have not considered much before, and I am really grateful to learn about that. Besides career advice, he has also shared his experience and opinions on social life, extra-curricular activities at university and workplace cultures, from which I have benefited much.

Mr Mak is also very encouraging, which is one of his most important attributes. He always encourages me to step out of my comfort zone and widen my social circle as well as my horizons.”
