[Scotland] Memorable mentorship experience

“I have benefitted significantly from my mentor, Professor Sally Stewart, who is highly knowledgeable, charming and caring. The opportunity of spending a weekend with her in Stirling Castle and paying a home visit to her and other professors inspired me to a great extent. Professor Stewart not only shared interesting Scottish anecdotes, which actually relieved my homesickness, but provided profound insights related to my major as well as my career. The mentorship relationship played a memorable and important role during my exchange and equipped me with great caring and support.”

During a visit to my mentor’s home, which was a memorable experience, I met several HKU professors (in the photo is Dr Richard Stanley-Baker, Honorary Associate Professor of the Department of Fine Arts) and gaining insights from talking to them. I enjoyed very much the fantastic oysters, splendid Japanese Garden, and amazing night talks.”
