Full House of Joy

A record-breaking number of HKU Mentors, who are also members of The Helena May, and Mentees joined the welcome dinner on Friday, January 18, 2019.

Before the dinner, Ms Manisha Sharma, Chair of the Community Outreach Committee, shared the charitable works supported by members of the Club. Mentors Mrs Ruth Lau and Ms Janet Chang also led mentees on a tour around the beautiful and historic Helena May building in Central.

This is the twelfth year that members of The Helena May have participated in the HKU Mentorship Programme, starting with one member mentor, the pioneer Mrs Ruth Lau, to seventeen mentors this year. The Helena May mentors pass on their experience, befriend the young students, and help many international mentees to have a good understanding of the Hong Kong community.
